Why we're Cursor SMB Ambassadors

Cursor (and tools like it) have changed how fast teams can read codebases, draft refactors, and ship. The gap we keep seeing is not enthusiasm - it is confidence. SMEs worry about licensing, shadow IT, and developers who go from zero to sloppy automation because nobody wrote guardrails.

As Cursor SMB Ambassadors, Nomad gets to orient smaller organisations around sensible defaults: when retrieval is appropriate, how to handle secrets, what 'good enough' review looks like when AI is in the loop, and how to train mixed skill sets so not everything depends on one senior engineer.

We run internal playbooks the same way we run Skillnet days - short, repeatable modules, real repos or redacted snippets, and explicit 'do not do this' examples. The goal is not to turn everyone into a prompt influencer; it is to make shipping safer and faster.

If you are standardising on Cursor, evaluating it against other IDEs, or trying to roll out copilots without breaking build pipelines, we would rather have an honest conversation than sell you a fantasy roadmap.

Ambassador programmes only work when the people in them still spend most of their week with clients. We do. If this resonates, book a call or mention it when you next talk to us.
