Our Hackathon

Our hackathons are where ideas meet execution. Teams get a short sprint to build something with AI - whether it's a tool, an integration, or an experiment with 'strange data' that models have never seen before.

NomadChat and events like the Strange Data Project and Demo Day are all part of the same mission: get people building with AI in the open, share what works, and create a pipeline from curiosity to production.

We structure days so that mixed teams can ship: a simple problem statement, access to mentors, and explicit permission to show unfinished work. Some of the best demos came from groups that threw away their first idea on hour two and pivoted.

Judging isn't only about flashes of novelty. We ask whether the team can explain data lineage, how they'd harden the thing for real users, and what they'd drop if they had one more day. That keeps the room from confusing vibe-coded prototypes with production-ready systems.

Sponsors and partners have used these events to spot talent and to pressure-test internal ideas in public. If you're hiring engineers or analysts who think in systems, there's no worse filter than a whiteboard - and no better one than watching someone build under time pressure with their peers.

If you've never been to a hackathon, don't let the word put you off. Our events are welcoming to beginners and pros alike. Come to watch, network, or present - you'll leave with a clearer picture of what's possible.
